To the poor of Warehorne 20s. To reparation of the church 10s. To the
poor of Shadoxhurst 10s, of Snave 20s.
Wife Alice two small silver spoons, £120.
Robert FARLIE my son four of the best silver spoons.
Robert OCKMAN my wife’s father £5.
Thomas CROWCHMAN my cosen £5.
William ARE my brother £20.
Simon OCKMAN my wife’s brother 20s.
Joan and Susan OCKMAN my wife’s sisters each 10s.
John GRIGBIE and Joan his wife each a lamb and their daughter Alice a
heifer.
John ROBINS the 40s. he oweth me.
Agnes OSBORNE my cousin 5s, and to every of her children 5s.
John CATERMAN 40s, and to every of his children 5s.
Peter CATERMAN 20s.
John CLARKE, Edward COLE, John ARE my servants 10s. each, and Joan ARE
and Hanna CANDLER my servants 5s. each. Alice my servant 10s.
Residue after debts paid to son Robert who with my brother William ARE
my Executors, and Robert OCKMAN, Thomas CROWCHMAN, overseers.

Lands, tenements in Warehorne, Orlaston, Shadoxhurst, all to son Robert
and his lawful issue, in default to my brother William ARE and his
lawful issue, in default: - my cousin Stephen CROWCHMAN my messuage and
17 acres near Ham in Warehorne, and to his heirs for ever paying to Joan
GRIGBIE and Alice ROBINS daughters of my sisters, each £20.
Then my cousins Robert and Roger CROUCHMAN my messuage and lands in
Shakisherst and to their heirs, paying £10.10s. to the collectors of
the poor of Shadoxherst (sic) 10s. yearly for use of the poor,
out of my lands called Chekers.
John, Thomas, George, sons of my cousin Thomas CROUCHMAN, my lands
called Bakers in Warehorne, paying to their sisters Alice and Elisabeth
£5 each.
Wife Alice have custody and bringing up of my son Robert until 14, and
keep him to school from his age of six years until 14, having £5 yearly
from my Executors. If wife do not then my brother William ARE have the
custody and bringing up of Robert and set him to school.
Wife dwell in my house at Warehorne where John CATERMAN dwells.
