Will of William CLERKE of Snave, Kent 24 February 1471-2

William CLERKE of Snave, Sunday next before Feast of St Mathie (24 February) 1471-2.
Buried in churchyard of St Augustine of Snave.
High altar 6d, and to the parish priest 6.Light of High Cross 4d. Light of Brotherhood of St Mary 4d.
To wife Agnes part of my utensilorum and to my sons the other part.
Residue after paying debts, etc. to John BIRCHILLE, senior and Hamon WHITE of Snave, and John (son of William) PHILIP of Warehorne of all my lands, tenements and woods in Snave, Brenzete and Warehorne.
Three acres of land called Shepherdeshill in Snave to be sold and money to pay debts.
Wife Agnes have my chief tenement with its lands, and another tenement called Bedelys for 16 years; son John have profits of ten acres called Ladis for 16 years to find him to school.
Also wife Agnes have all lands in Snave and Warehorne between the highway and the land called Lades – viz. north of the land called Pykethorne, for life of Agnes.
The profits from the lands in Snave and Brenzete at Underpyn, to my younger daughter for 15 years.
After the 16 years – John, Henry and Matthew my sons have all lands, tenements and woods, which Agnes held for her life.
