BROWNE of Snargate, 16 February 1523-4.
Buried in churchyard.
High altar 4d. Brotherhood of St Katherine 4d, to the Rood, Trinity
Brotherhood, Our Lady Brotherhood, 4d. each.
Wife Joan all household stuff that was hers before our marriage.
My household utensils be sold by Aleyn BROWNE my Executor, by oversight
of Thomas ILOND o f Tenterden my overseer.
Residue after debts paid to daughter Joan when 16, and Joan be in
custody of Aleyn BROWN, and her goods. If Joan die before 16, then to be
sold and money disposed in churches of Snargate, Ebbeney, Kennardington,
and Egellyswyk, and the church of parish where Joan dies.
Wife Joan all poultry, except four capons, also have a mare, two
heifers, my hemp.
Residue disposed by Executors.
Witnesses – Thomas STAKHOUSE, John a BAROW.
