Abstract of St Lawrence Thanet Wills from Arthur Hussey’s Manuscripts

Will of Thomas LONG 2 April 1493 of St Lawrence Thanet

Thomas LONG of St Lawrence in Thanet, 2 April 1493.
Buried in the churchyard.
High altar for tithes 12d. Ad opus of the church 20s. To each Light of which I am a Brother 4d.
Wife Elene all those ornamenta and utensilia which said Elene brought at time of her marriage; one cow and one bull calf, four ewes, two lambs and half part of my utensilia.
Son Thomas six silver spoons, one brass pot and cooking pot.
Executors – Son Thomas, Thomas SAKETT.
Feoffees – William PIERS and John CAPON.
That five acres and half of land be sold and money to pay debts.
Acre and half in field called Thomas STEYRWAY, five acres and half at North Nesse be sold and money to pay debts, etc.
Son Thomas have all other lands and tenements.
