Will of Thomas ELPHAM of St Lawrence Thanet 14 Nov 1480

Thomas ELPHAM of St Lawrence in Thanet, 14 November 1480.
Buried in churchyard.
High altar 12d. To the operibus of the church 20d. To each Light in the church of which I am a Brother one bushel of barley. To the repairing parve campane (small bell) in the church 4d. To reparation of le Weke 4d.
Daughter Margaret when 16, 25 ewes and a cow. Daughter Joan 25 ewes and a cow when 16 and they shall have after the death of Isabelle Capon of Chartham 33s.4d. but if daughters died before 16 then 13s.4d. to operibus of church of Chartham and 20s. to operibus of church of St Lawrence.
Wife Agnes have all utensilia of my house, viz. aule, camere and coquina, 20 ewes of the best, and 20 lambs.
