Richard AUSTEN of Sandherst, 12 October 1554.
Buried in the churchyard.
Wife Joan all moveable goods, paying to poor people at my burial 3s.4d.
Daughter Joan at her marriage £5 or age of 24.
John FOWLL have his bargain of wood he bought of me paying to Joan my wife £13.6s.8d.
   That if my mother (no name) will be bound to my Ex’ors, and two other men of the parish, to let the hedge stand where it is and not be moved which she granted me to do and save the coppes of my Wood now enclosed, then she shall cut down a certain plot of Wood now standing to her own use which she hath claimed, and if my mother do take the same Wood and fulfil her promise and grant, then John FOWLL shall be allowed so much money as two honest men can say the Wood is worth when he pays the £13.6s.8d.
Residue of goods after debts paid to Joan my wife my Ex’or, with Peter Douncke overseer.
Wife occupy for life my lands after the death of my mother, paying the lords rent, and after death of my wife to Joan my daughter and her lawful issue.
Wife Joan to receive of John AUSTEN my brother 10s. yearly during life of my mother.
