Abstracts of Littlebourne Wills from Arthur Hussey’s Manuscripts

Will of Robert KENTON of Littlebourne 5 May 1509

Robert KENTON of Lytleborn, 18 March 1508-9.
Buried in church yard of St Vincent of Lytleborn.
High algtar 20d.
   John PERKER (sic) 6s.8d.; and a taper of 5 lbs of wax to be maintained by him and his heirs for ever to burn before the Sepulcre.
   Edmund KENTON my best gown, doublet and hoses. Juliane BISSHOPDA M have my wife’s black gown. Richard KNIGHT a solet* which William FRERE hath in keeping.
   Ex’ors – John PARKER and Thomas TRESSOR, have residue, with Richard KNIGHT overseer.
Witnesses – Sir Stephen WIKEHAM, John GARDNER.
